Green mucus is a sign of infection either in the throat or sinus so it's best to go straight to the doctor. Usually when you catch a cold like that it's because you caught it by someone who had it or touched something that was full of bacteria and touched your face. There's no cure for a cold but you can kill the infection you have with antibiotics from a doctor. Don't wait any longer, make an appointment and go straight to the doctor. They can tell you more of what might be the cause and what you really have.

When in doubt, go to the doctor. It's not worth being sick and possibly dying. That's my families motto, even though none of us ever get worse than a cold.
