He may just be making fun of you in a joking manner. We tend to tease the one we LIKE. The problem is, because women pride themselves on how they look, we tend to forget that, and we forget that you are kind of sensitive when people talk about your looks. You don't need to do shit for him, if you don't LIKE him, do it for you, of course. But, next time, if you're OK with telling him that you don't like being made fun of like that, then go ahead. It might hurt him a little but, we'll understand and eventually stop. He may stop LIKING you but, at least he will have stopped

Walking is really good exercise for everything butt and all. Squats can also help with thighs and butt.

Do front squats with a freeweight bar, bring your feet in front of you together and do squats on the smith machine, and do leg presses also on the smith machine by lying down underneath it an pushing the bar straight up with your feet.
