losing weight to fit in the with the popular girls isn't a very good reason, especially if you're the sort of "popular girls" that everyone hates.
but anyway, losing that much weight in a month and half is extremely unhealthy. that the most, you should be losing weight at a rate of about 2 pounds per week, maybe 3 (but that's very hard to achieve) if you can take off one pound per week, that's an accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself. to lose weight you need to burn more than you consume, so you need to do cardio (get your heart rate up be running, swimming, jogging, elliptical, etc.) and eat healthier, that doesn't mean starve yourself, because if you starve yourself, your metabolism will shut down and then when you start eating again (you will have to eventually) you will put on weight faster than you can even imagine.
if you're really overweight, which I doubt you are, you're probably a normal teen who just can't tolerate her body, then you're going to have to work up your cardio gradually (because you're out of shape) so start with like 10-15 minutes per day and then work your way up to 30-40 minutes every OTHER day. on days off, do something less strenuous like walking or beginners yoga. you can rent instructional tapes at the library if you don't belong to a gym.
in order to build muscle tone you need to do weight training, the more weight you pump, the bulkier your muscles will become. if you pump a small amount of weight, but do a lot of reps, then once you've burned off the fat, then you'll see nice definition.

Well... High School has claimed yet another victim I see.
I'm not going to be the voice of morality, but you probably aren't fat.
I know for a fact that I am overweight, but it's because I have most of my family against me.
My family is all big-boned and short and wide. Therefore, so am I.
But I try my best.
The best way to lose hat much weight would be to schedule yourself about an hour a day 3 or 4 times a week for excercising. Go for a run once a week at least 5 kilometers. Eat only healthy foods. Your diet should include at least 5 or 6 full fruits, 6 - 10 full vegetables, 5 servings of whole grains (so brown bread, brown rice etc.), 5 servings of milk/cheese/yougurt and at least 4 servings of meat. Plus vitamins and about 3 litres of water a day. Get at least 9 hours of sleep a night. If you eat anything else, you have to drown it out with water and excercise until you burn off the amount of calories you took in. Take care to watch what you eat, how you eat, how you excercise, how much you sleep etc etc etc. Then when school starts you have to keep it up so you don't gain the weight back. Imagine trying to keep this up with all the homework that comes with high school, plus the social events plus dates and school extra-curriculars.

My mother has lost 12 pounds (210 to 198, and she's still losing) in just under 2 months using their nutrition tracker. From what she says, apparently you input everything you eat and it tells you how much you're over or under.. and gives you goals to aim for so you can control how much you eat. I'm pretty sure there is also a forum and a section for logging what your exercise minutes are.. and some other stuff. She seems happy with it, which is really saying something considering she's been fat for the last 30 years. xD
I previously had her walking an hour a day and doing some weights.. she had some strength gains and her hip and knee pain was gone, but she wasn't really losing her fat until she started watching what she ate (using the website).

well how much do you weigh? it depends. if you are a little overweight for your height by sept 30 pounds not going to happen most likely, but you could pull off 20 pounds and trust me that is alottttt! its simple watch your calories, everyone says exercise yes ofcourse exercise it will help you burn cals, and make your body toned and look good. but if you are not doing it right in the diet area all the effort is lost. what is your height and weight? find out the calories you need to consume and reduce it by 500. through workin out or diet ( split it 250 and 250 if you want). working out is just do w/e for an hour, go jog and run be active! if you can go to the gym go to the gym and take advantage of all the machines and DO weights! that will increase your metabolims and it really changes your body. its all about calories when losing weight. Eat good foods, don't put junk in your body just watch your portions and types of food you eat. Best thing is writing it down. I just put everything in my phone that way by dinner I know exactly how much I can allow myself to eat

But if you'd like to lose some weight, just eat healthier. Cut out the soda and fast food. Go organic if you can and try going for a run every morning (not only will this get you in shape but it will also help build up your energy for the rest of the day) and target the ab area with some simple sit ups... remember fancy machines and techniques aren't mandatory, you just need to actually stick to the regime :) oh and don't forget to drink at least 3 litres of water a day !lol meee to. xD well I'm in marching abnd and my marching band you run laps if you do something wrong, I say going a summber thin, and walk there every day and walk back. or work out, and do sit ups it may hurt but taht how you get thin. I'm 132o or 138 I don't know my wieght iscrazy because I'm a fa ass. xD but yes it is hard for girls .. we get fat because were stressed or depressed, bt w/e well I say do a lot of cardio work out example, running or jogging and crunches. so yea. but join trck or what I do marching band join your school marchjing xD. you learn somthing and you lose weight if you don't pay anything do colorguard. because colorguard rocks,. you get more musles on your arms and loses wieght fast s yea hope this helps. and true don't worr about it, if you feel hot and sexy than it doe snot matter,

try cutting out excess calories, eating healthier, eating more vegetables, drinking more water
exercising for at least an hour 3-4 days/ week (which is what I do), join a sport, go to the gym, jog, - these are all things I do and I'm fit so it should help.Ha. I hate that too. All my friends are so small, then there's me xD
But what me and my friend are going to do is workout over the summer, so we don't really lose weight, but get a thinner looking body. Maybe you could try that?
