Why don't you cook or do you cook?

Is it just to much time, is it a money thing, or do you just not know how? I'm curious because it is healthier to cook for yourself, but most people I know want to diet but not cook.

It's to expensive to cook healthy.

I don't have time.

I don't know how.

I think there are certain basic skills every single adult should know and cooking is definitely on the list. Doesn't have to be anything gourmet, but you need to be able to feed yourself without takeout and ready meals. It's a part of being an independent person. It's healthier, most times cheaper and doesn't take that long.

I cook about half of my weekly meals. Some I eat at school restaurants and when I'm tired I sometimes buy ready meals. Some of my friends ask sometimes why I don't utilize school restaurants more cause they're so cheap and quite good for the price, but I love to cook and try new recipes.

I cook and I like to cook healthy foods. I feel better and have more energy for the day.

I cook all the time. I love to cook and I think I am half decent at it as well. I make everything from roast beef to casseroles to tacos, pastas, anything and everything. My signature dish is chili though.

I cook. I kind of enjoy it. I like making new things up.

I basically stopped going to restaurants (unless for a date, or when I'm on vacation or pressed for time) when I started to notice that the food I was cooking just tasted better than anything I could order.

And it's not necessarily healthier to cook for yourself. It's often not cheaper.

I cook daily.. I love it..
I stay alone , I hate eating outside , also I am a vegetarian so its difficult to find something for me in restaurants
so I cook my own food, healthy and tastyyyyyyyyyy

I learned to cook before I left for university because I knew I would have to take care of myself, so I figured knowing how to make a good meal beats eating Mac n' Cheese, Take-out, and ramen everyday!

i cook because i enjoy cooking. its something that i really like to do. i like food, and i like to follow recipes and finish steps. its satisfying to me, haha.
