As someone in your situation, I agree that being too skinny isn't exactly fun, but I also believe that being too fat is, in many ways, worse. A lot of people get bullied for being fat. I'm not saying I haven't received a few snide remarks for being too skinny, but that's usually the extent of it. I know people that have been constantly bullied for being fat which I think is just stupid. People in general are just faster to judge someone who's really fat than someone who's really skinny so I can see why it's not viewed in the same way. Also, more people relate to being too fat rather than too skinny and sometimes don't realize it's actually a problem.

True. When I was skinny I was always told that I need fattening up, and that isn't seen as offensive. Because I'm quiet too I'm told I should talk more, that isn't seen as offensive either - imagine going up to people and saying "you talk too much".
As for your lack of gains, what does your training routine look like? What's your bodyweight and how many cals are you getting per day?
Oh really? That's why I've been called whale once and fat many times. I know "too skinny" isn't that much fun either, but fat people have it worse... I've never seen skinny people left out or bullied because of their look. Please, don't mistake it as I am attacking skinny people, because I am totally not. Here nobody complains if you're skinny. But I think fat people and skinny people get the same amount of bs and observations for the way they look, so might as well just ignore it. :D people are always gonna complain, no matter how you look.
I think fat people are more noticeable than skinny people and that is why they get judged more often. I don't think we should judge anybody based on their looks though unless they really do not take care of themselves at all.

I'm like you. I started working out and learned to embrace my "lean-ness". It's super easy for us to get definition though mass is a whole different beast. While some family members tell me I'm "too skinny" I still get attention from the ladies lol. We ectomorphs are on the rise! Girls seem to prefer a skinny toned dude moreso than a ripped ass dude from what I've gathered anyways. Don't let it get to you. Keep eating and working out. That's all we can do. Good luck my ectomorph brethren!
Agreed. People think twice before telling someone they are too fat but they will keep telling skinny people, "you're so skinny." But I actually like being skinny. At the same time I don't like people pointing out again and again that I'm skinny.
