My face is red all the time. What can I do to get rid of this? (seborrhoeic dermatitis)?

My face is red on the the cheeks. More accurately the area under the eyes up to where the nose ends.
It's red and the skin looks shiny. It's not rosacea as i was at a dermatologist. She said something like seborrhoeic dermatitis.
She gave ma a gel to clean the skin. This only takes the grease off the face, but the redness remains there.
any advice on what to use, do or avoid doing to get rid of this?

Head to your local store (s) that have a Garden section, like Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot, some grocery stores, etc. and buy yourself an Aloe Vera plant. I believe they call it Medicinal Aloe Vera. It costs roughly around $3.50, which is extremely affordable and you get a ton of plant for the price.

Once at home with the plant, take a knife and cut of one entire leaf. A leaf of an Aloe Vera Plant has two sides, one flat, and one rounded/curved. Take the flat side and lay it facing upwards. Take your knife and cut the sides (length wise) of the leaf. The gel inside is SUPER STICKY, which is normal. Run the knife on the top of the gel to remove the flat part of the leaf so the gel is exposed.

Then, simply apply the gel to your face morning and night for around two weeks. Aloe Vera is extremely healthy for the body. It's incredible for sun burns too. When it is applied to the skin, you do not need to wash it off, just let your skin soak it up. It will get to a "sticky phase" on your skin, totally normal.

BTW: If the moisture in the gel disappears, but you have an entire gel piece in your hand, scratch it with your nail and the moisture will return. The Aloe Plant is a type of cactus, so watering it once a week and placing it in full sunlight will treat it right. You can even plant a single leaf in the ground horizontally, water it, and it will grow your own Aloe Plant in your backyard. They are rather a very ideal thing to have in the house at all times. You can use it for many things including skin care.

If you're not okay with buying a plant and cutting it, although I recommend doing so because you get the PUREST form of Aloe Gel... buy prepackaged aloe gel, but make sure it is 100% aloe. No additives, and no other ingredients.

It's likely triggered by something in your diet. Have you been allergy tested?

An antifungal cream used on the areas implicated. Apply the cream to affected areas once or twice daily, depending on the type of cream prescribed by you doctor.

A mild steroid cream are sometimes advised each day for a week or so in addition to an antifungal cream.
Steroid creams and lotions dampen inflammation, which reduces the redness and itch. However, you should not use steroid creams, ointments or lotions long-term. See your doctor again if the inflammation does not settle within a week or so.

Pimecrolimus cream or tacrolimus ointment may sometimes be prescribed if skin inflammation is more severe.
