Should I get a prescription for Adderall?

Hi im 16 years old and I am headed into an important junior year of high school. In the past i have done fairly well at school but I have always felt I have could of gotten better grades. In class I tend to lose focus even when teachers are in very important topics! Homework usually takes long for me because I always lose focus and I find my self just on my phone and watching TV. This is a big year for me and I want to succeed. I've always felt I've had some sort of ADHD but I just never really worried about it. Should I go to the doctor and get a prescription to help me focus? Is it also easy to get a prescription at the doctors?

It's called being a teenager. As a psychology major, I really doubt that you need medication based on what you told us. However, psychiatrists make money off of every pill they prescribe, therefor ADHD is probably the most over diagnosed and over prescribed thing out there. So few people that use ADHD medications actually need it and it's really sad.

If you're going to take pulls just for better grades then you have a bigger problem at hand. Drugs aren't candy and shouldn't be taken lightly

Id get a low dosage and I honestly do have trouble focusing. Im not just taking the pill. I do need a little help focusing.

If you take them now you will develop a dependency on them and that you do not need. You are so young. Research different techniques to help your focus.
