Ahaha I get cravings all the time. They're totally normal by the way
I say, if you used to eat a lot of those type of snacks before, don't just straight away eat none at all. That would just make it worse because at the end you'll most likely binge, which is a no no.
So perhaps gradually decrease the amounts of snack you eat during the week.
The thing is, even when I try to stay fit, that doesn't mean I don't eat any snacks. You have to eat a bit so your metabolism is still working and so there's waaaay less chance of binge eating.
Binge eating by the way is when you eat a larger amount of food in a shorter period of time than you would normally eat. It's kinda like eating out of control :/
Eating tiny bits of snack each day and excising daily is better than not eating snacks for a week than binge eating like crazy
Eat moderately, exercise daily, drink water, sleep a sufficient amount :) Good luck

If your craving for salt is the issue, then the simple act of exercising has probably increased your need for it. It is more intense if you are working out outside.
Next, people don't realize that exercise alone is a very inefficient way to lose weight. Basically you are trying to increase caloric expenditure thinking it will offset food intake. It seldom does this. You can run 10 miles, come home and down a reasonable amount of potato chips and shoot it all to hell.
By all means carry on with the workouts, but in the meantime Google terms like 'insulin resistance', 'glycemic index', 'blood sugar levels (spikes or dips)... basically anything associated with the Atkins concept. You don't have to adopt his plan in general, nor do i think at your age you'd need to. But you'll learn a lot about how food affects weight gain and loss.
I'm beating a drug addiction, not the same I know but when I get a craving I replace taking the drug with something else. An example is I will get a massive craving rather than grabbing the phone and calling my dealer ill grab the dog lead and walk the dog until the craving subsides. So when you wanna eat whatever food it is you crave. stop. go for a walk, sketch/doodle just replace it with something else you enjoy and eventually your craving will just disappear into thin air. Good luck

You might have a deficiency of some sorts especially if you want salt. Also, if your diet is full of preservatives and gluten, this can cause this as well. Stick to gluten-free and MSG-free diet and this will line out your problems itself. Losing weight is also easier if your pH is correct so maybe check that as well. Pills don't do anything but mask the issue, it will not solve this issue, period. I hope this helps.
I love cravings. But back to your question... 1) drink lots of water 2) eat protein and carbs because sugar does not fill that appetite 3) continue living the fit lifestyle
