I had these little rascals when I was 7, and I can remember mom saying: "Don't itch them, they will leave scars." My grandmother came down from 2 hours away to help mom look after me and my sister, for just then----She got this Outbreak as well. They doused us with calamine lotion.
I recall how they itched, that I wanted to take my little nails and itch them like crazy, but I listened to mom for Mother knows best.
There are people I know who have Never had them in their life. And I have also heard that if you Get these Late in life, you Get them very bad very Bad.
You may or may Not get them, sweetie, don't sweat. It seems you never had the 'Privilege' of dealing with this childhood disease. I wouldn't worry about it. Chances are you will never have the Unfortunate Pleasure neither...

Got chicken pox when I was about 4 or 5. Have a few scars from them as my mum said that she didn't put enough cream. I have a big one on my chest and it shows when I wear dresses which makes me self conscious but it stretched out a bit as I grew.
I heard that it's better to get it as a child and once you get it, you're not supposed to get them again for the rest of your life.
Yes. When I was in pre-k. When children get it, it basically acts like a general passing sickness with symptoms being spots and itchiness, fevers and coughing. As horrible as that sounds it is better to get it as a child because when you are little it is impossible for it to develop any further in the tiny underdeveloped host.
If an adult got chicken pox. It could lead to death if it is a strong enough version of it.
People should never have to go through that, so parents try to make sure their kids get it very early.
Yeah I got it at the age of 6 from my cousin. My aunt told me to stay away from him because he was sick but of course I didn't and surely enough I got sick that same week. Haha I remember my classmates sending me a letter telling me to get well soon.

i heard it gets worse as you get older.. so extremely young people and old people + chickenpox = bad.
Just make sure you get a shingles vaccine if you didn't have the pox as a kid.

No, I haven't. The Vaccine was out by the time I was born. It's not that common anymore because of the vaccine but, kids still do get them.
Yes I've had the chicken pox when I was a kid. You should think about getting vaccinated because it's much worse as an adult.
