Look at your diet reduce sugar intake because if you don't burn off the energy it becomes stored as fat. Cut down or eliminate Fast food it is very high in fat and salt neither of which is good on a regular basis. Go on bodybuilding. com or YouTube and start out doing some planks or body weight exercises. I used to have love handles and very brief stretch marks so I started watching my diet, doing planks, walking and using a moisturizer like vitamin e or coconut body oil and rub that in and now I am looking way better. I only started this like 6 months ago I still have a little tummy but when I stand up I can see and feel my top abs which I have never seen my entire life. Work hard and you will get what you deserve. Good Luck!

"Toning" is a misnomer, it just means losing fat. Really diet is about 80% of getting more toned, the other 20% is cardio and resistance.
I like to do floor leg raises for my abs as the lower abs are the weakest part in most people. Other good exercises you can do are bicycle crunches, Russian twists, and stationary ab work plank though boring is a very beneficial overall core exercise.
Just change your diet in a way that works best, little things count for a lot like drinking as much water as you can will inhibit your intake of a lot of the sugar that is consumed in beverages. You don't need to go super strict, your goal is very reasonable so it can be accomplished in a month or two, good luck ; )
So
Eat a lot cleaner, less fat, less sugar, less salt and no artificial food. Do a lot of core workouts. I'd recommend subscribing to Pilates trainer Cassey Ho on youtube, follow her on Twitter & Instagram and sign up to her websites. She gives GREAT tips, awesome workout videos, a calendar to stay on top of your workouts and free meal plans! Try her out, here is a page of her workouts on abs! :D

Planks. Side planks included. Crunches. Toe touches (lay on your back, feet on the floor, knees bent, and rotate to touch the toes), mountain climbers, box jumps, sit ups... they'll all give you abdominal definition but they'll slim your midsection up first so you can stop/reduce reps/frequency any time.
