Ways to earn money for spinal procedure?

I have a degenerating spine disorder and I want to make a trip across country to see a doctor that specializes in my disease. My family is low income and they can't afford to send me. I've been in and out of the hospital for months and can't work. I have sold everything I could think of but I'm still $200 short. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can earn the money?

Hold a benefit, this takes a lot of manpower and frankly i've never done one, so you have to a lot of people to help you with it.

"Gigs" on craigslist has people that want help. moving with yard work etc. Someone can do side jobs for extra cash.
