I'm not a girl, so excuse the response, but I can remember quite a while ago when I first started eating healthy and I was surprised at the transition I made.
Everything is about choices. You can always go to McDonald's, drink soda, smoke cigarettes, etc. etc. if you want to. The trick to being healthy and maintaining the weight you want is just telling yourself that you want the good stuff instead of the bad stuff. It's about you almost as much as the food. It's hard to switch from drinking sugary drinks every day to water, but after a day or two you get used to it and start to feel great so you keep up the habit.
Fruits and vegetables, compared to all other foods (processed foods included) are pretty damn cheap. Ever made a salad with raspberries, apples, walnuts and grapes among the lettuce? It's fucking delicious, especially if you put oil and vinegar on it or some balsamic salad dressing. And it's good for you? Somebody just kill me!!! I love it.
Hummus (usually on sale at Kroger and such) and vegetables is exotic, satisfying and lasts a couple days if you can maintain some self control. Affordable as well.
Gosh, thank god we live in 2014 when the intersection of healthy and making money has finally come full circle so that there are so many ridiculously good options to choose from! Sometimes I just spend an hour browsing the grocery store, there are so many options.
I also realized one day that whenever I listened to music, I just sat on my bed or eventually fell asleep. Not only could I not digest a whole album (or my dinner), but it was simply unsatisfying. Got my headphones, headed out the door and went on a walk. Four hours later (long for some, but I get lost in the music) I returned feeling like I had done a fantastic workout! Of course, I had, but I was so caught up in digging these albums that it was like I accomplished something spiritual/artistic while getting physical. I love it!
Hope some of that helps.

You have to stick to a balanced nutrition plan. But since every person is very different it is quite hard to suggest you something that will fit you. You have to get an advice from professional. What I can say is that a good chinese green tea really helps to maintain healthy weight and health overall. Try something like that oolong tea from

Like JackKerouac77 said it's all about choices. Download a calorie counting app on your phone "Lose It" and "My Fitness Pal" are good ones. You'll be pretty surprised to find how big small choices really are. Like would you rather have a McDouble and a kid's soda or a HUGE salad, big piece of chicken, rice, and a piece of fruit for dinner?
It's crazy how many calories are in fast food compared to what you have at home.
