i went to the doctors and i was told that i have BDD is it serious or can it be?
Is body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) a big deal?
Well I don't see how it's any different than someone being extremely insecure of the way they look. Body dysmorphic disorder is really just a fancy word for it. It can be serious in terms of being in a relationship. I can't see anyone who would want to stick around and listen to someone constantly seeking a flaw out about themselves 24/7. If you decide to one day get plastic surgery because of you not liking the way you look then that is pretty serious too. So yeah, BDD can be serious but you can control that.

Its a really serious mental disorder yes. It has and can ruin lives.
Why are you asking that here? I would suggest talking to your doctors about it. Never go to the internet for medical advice.
