Best way I've seen done is a combination of a good weight training regiment, a good cardio routine within it, and a good diet. A good cardio workout and diet alone will do wonders. Cardio workouts burn fat all over you're body, and eating a good diet will help to keep any unwanted weight off, plus all the added bonuses of eating better. The weight training used in combination with the other two factors, will help you build muscle, while burning excess fat. Cardio is the biggest factor in losing the love handles and man boobs. I like to do a varying 30-40 minute ab workout, then 20 minutes of cardio on the 2 days out of the week that I do cardio. The other 5 days I workout, I'm covering the rest of the parts of my body and using sunday for rest. Although, the more cardio you do, the more fat you'll lose, but you're also more likely to build muscle slower. Gotta find a happy medium.
