I had the same problem last night. didn't fall aslepp until about 3am and had to be awake at 6:30. I usually take an over the counter sleeping pill, I do it rarely though because theyre not good. lol. Excersise during the day helps as well as a hot relaxing shower/bath before bed. And turning your phone off and not looking at the clock constantly helps too. Try maybe reading something too. I usually whip out my history book because its so boring that I eventually fall asleep.

I know this might sound crazy, but music might help. Only relaxing music or slow songs though =) hope that helps.

I hate when that happens. I would suggest a 1 week fast from your phone. I mean i did it and it worked wonders. See the light o your phone makes you stay awake and addicted to checking it every 5 seconds. Also try sleeping pills and tea. imagine being in a different place like the beach and make sure you keep your eyes closed the entire time. I wouldn't garentee it but it will help you sleep better. 90% of the problem is your cell phone though. trust me.

Caffeine, computer work, aggitation, loud music / TV, writing, eating late all wreck my sleep. Quiet things down a few hours before bed. You need to start practicing sleep like a fine art. Keep a log of sleep and shoot for at least 6.5 hours a night. If you keep improving an hour or two each night you will be doing good until you get at your goal. Also try melatonin for the first few nights. Good luck!

My friend told me to meditate and it helped hehe :) try to clear your mind before you go to bed :)I count backwards from 100 and make sure it's controlled and slow. I've never gotten to zero before my mind starts wandering to dreams.
I always get to sleep straight away when I'm just making the most of being in bed while I can! Ugh, I hate having to wake up do early. Its 3.37am and I have to be up in 3 hours. :D (D:)
If this doesn't happen very often, I suggest taking 2 benadryl and lying down with your eyes closed. It's a great way to comfortably fall asleep when you have that occasional restlessness.

Melatonin pills, I try to avoid medicine at all costs, but they really do work. I take 3 if I've got to get up for work the next day.
