I always get weird reactions when I tell people this, but I'm a firm believer in the body's ability to function and cleanse itself on its own when being nourished with the proper foods.
I have combination/oily skin, super dry in some parts, super oily in others, and found that no product that I've ever used made my skin any better. I decided to completely stop using soap to wash my face and found that, after an adjustment period, my skin is now clearer than ever before.
The harsh chemicals you put on your face disrupts your body's natural cycle and make you reliant on the products to get clearer skin. Diet plays a huge component in face care as well, any toxins you ingest (processed foods, meat, dairy) have to escape your body somehow, and for many people this shows up as acne.
Everyday I just rinse my face with water.
If I happen to be dry, which is extremely rare, I'll use a tiny amount of coconut oil on my face.
If I have dead-skin build-up, I'll make a scrub of sugar, lemon juice, and coconut oil and exfoliate with it in the shower.
Occasionally, I'll make raw vegan face masks just for fun. The only time I'll break out is if I don't eat healthy or am really stressed. Look at my picture if you want to see how my skin looks, I'm not wearing any make up in it.

I have combination skin. I tend to break out mostly on my forehead, but since I switched birth control I have been getting the occasional pimple on my cheeks and chin.
Following this regimen to a tee works for me and gives me 99% clear skin. It has taken me years to develop this regimen so it may take time to figure out what works for you; however, if I'm lazy and do not do the weekly treatments I DO breakout on my forehead.. always. For me this is the only way that I can beat my acne.
Daily Regimen
1. Cleanse - Clearasil
2. Super clean - I use rubbing alcohol with tea tree oil mixed in to remove ALL traces of oil from my face
3. Tone - Apple cider vinegar
4. Moisturize - I rub a touch of coconut oil on my face to moisturize
Weekly
1. I use a salicylic acid chemical peel every Sunday
2. I use Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion skin exfoliant every Wednesday night (St. Ives works ok too for a cheaper alternative)
3. I use a mask made with bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar every Friday
Spot treatment
1. Toothpaste to dry out the pimple. Apply it before bed
2. Desitin (yes, the diaper rash cream).. apply before bed
Simple four step process.
1: Cool (not hot) shower 3+ times a week.
2: Stare at self in mirror and contemplate loss of attractiveness with age.
3: Realise I am an intelligent human being with many redeeming qualities.
4: Embrace the world with newfound confidence.
(optional: 5: "Take one look at my enormous penis, and my troubles just a melt away")
Shower 1-2x per day, in water as hot as I can take, wash body with bar soap and rough brush, then wash again with just soap. Wash hair with bar soap to strip it, then normal shampoo to clean, then condition to make it soft again. Once a week, usually Friday or Saturday, use a pocket knife as a scraper to get rid of the dead skin cells.

i use a foaming cleanser, a moisturizing toner, a serum and a moisturizing cream.
for day i use a spf 35+++ mattifying 100% mineral cream sunblock.Garneir 3 in 1 face wash, mask and scrub in the shower, (i do the mask once a week) I use this professional care tonic thing for my acne, then i moisturize with an intensive moisturizer called Aqueous cream BP every night before bed, and sometimes i'll use my Johnson's night cream under my eyes, and then Carmex or Nivea lip balm. for the rest of my body i use an in shower moisturizer.
I am crazy about my skin!!! I buy every single product out there and try it on, but from my experience I just use a few :
To take makeup off: nivea cleansing milk
To get rid of puffiness: bioderma anti-puffiness
To clean skin: eucerin pH5 cleansing lotion
Peeling: garnier skin naturals 3 in 1I use Elemis exfoliating face wash few times a week. Use aveeno cleanser and either ponds night cream or aqueous to moisturise as I tend to have dry skin. Day moisturiser is nivea sensitive face cream. An I use that then put make up on top
I wash my face with SVR Provégol and then put on Noreva Duo-Skin cream. Both products are meant to moisturize my face.

cleanser
moisturiser
weekly use:
clay mask. i love that stuff.I wash my face with a 3 in-one cleanser, use a watered down bleach cream on a few acne scars, a moisturizer and sun block.
