I'm a freshman at USF D1 distance runner. I run cross country and steeple chase the mile 2m and 5k maybe the 10k. My 8k is currently 24:53.
But to be a track runner is a lot harder than cross becuse you'll have only one season of training while cross country will have cross and track. Track runners tend to be middle distance to sprints so if you want to be a middle distance runner which ranges from the 400 to the mile. Or a sprinter which ranges from the 100-400. Or a field event person from high jump to pole vault. I think there's 21-25 events during track season.
Now for the times. If you want to be a D1 athlete times are going to be honestly impossible to hit without training unless you're a natural born killer. For the 400 d1 coachs will look at nothing slower than 52 honestly that's the slowest they'll look at for the mile. Slower than 4:25. D2 schools it gets easier D3s are usually easier to walk on.

I run 11 seconds flat 100 meters when I was in highschool. Except I got recruited to the rugby team and had to give up track since practice were on the same days :(
Are you long distance or short distance/relay?
