Personally I do find them slightly attractive BUT as far as importance of physically attractive traits, they are at the bottom. I find that having curves is much more attractive! Your boyfriend should accept you for who you are because that's the girl he started dating. If you want to work on it you can but you definitely shouldn't worry about it..

Thigh gaps ARE a big deal. Men find them attractive as it indicates wide, childbearing hips. Some girl have medium to narrow hips but fat accumulates on their hip to give the superficial appearance of wide hips. Due to their narrow hip pelvic structure they have no thigh gap. True wide hips rely on wide pevic hip structure and not the flesh on the outside. Men can tell the difference and a thigh gap is usually present in women with a good hip to waist ratio (wide hips, narrow waist) even if they're big girls, they have a gap around the crotch area and upper thighs while the thighs themselves often rub together.
You either have a good hip to waist ratio or you don't. Remember that bigger girls even with a good hip to waist ratio have their thighs rub together, they usually have a bit of room around their pussy though. Men love a large fleshy mound :).
A girl with narrower hips will have everything mushed together in that region with no gap anywhere and there's really nothing she can do apart from lose weight to get any kind of gap.
Remember that even after weight loss men look for the wide hip, narrrow waist look in girls so even as a skinny girl, you either have that or you don't.
Similarly men either have the narrow hips and broad shoulders or they dont'. They can help things with weight training but it only goes so far.
