Do I have asthma or no?

I want to get y'all input first about this. When I get sick from allergies, cold, flu or something that irritates my respiratory system, I get a very tight pressure in my chest. I also can't take deep breaths, cough my lungs out, feel like I can't breathe and hurts. I don't want to self diagnose myself and obviously I need to go to a doctor to see if it's something serious. Do you think I'm over reacting or no? Oh by the way it's very common to have asthma where I live because of such bad air pollution it's been HORRIBLE since the first of November.

no im just kidding go see a doctor maybe your thinking about it too much what if u forgot about this problem.
if your old enough u could just move into a better place. i say go get a checkup cause that is serious.

It's best to go to the doctor. If they see a problem they will give an inhaler if needed. I had the same problem, but I learned how to handle in through an assortment of medications that are not over the counter.

Do you find yourself breathing through your stomach?

When it get's difficult sometimes.

You very well could have asthma. My son just got Re diagnosed with it and his major symptom was breathing through his stomach because it got too difficult for him and it hurt him. The ER gave him some meds the other night and he's doing much better. I would definitely get it checked out.

It sounds like asthma indeed. Do you ever hear a "peeeeeeep" (sorry) sound when you breathe out? That's the most typical sign of asthma. But also the other symptoms you have are possible signs of it.
Don't wait to long, if it's getting worse see a doctor urgently since a nasty asthma attact can be a very frightening experience!

Not all the time only when I seem to be really sick, it did sound like that when I had bronchitis. You bet, thanks.

Well, I'm afraid that confirms you probably (I'm careful... I'm not a doctor but my first aid coursebook says that's the nr 1 symptom of asthma...

it sounds like you do or at the very least mild asthma, if you go for long runs do you need to stop after a short distance and breathe real heavily? and is this a long term thing or has it just started happening? it could be a chest infection.

After running I do only if I have allergies that day or if the air is really nasty but I don't stay outside for too long on days like that. I started having this around 12 but NEVER had any problems like this when I was much smaller.

True to me it sounds like you probably have mild asthma and the high air pollution is making it worse. but you should definitely see a doctor over something like this :)

I have a couple of mates who have asthma and they need their inhaler or end up in hospital :( one of them uses this air product around the house which aparently gets rid of all the breathing problems.
