I'm 31 and can outrun my Husky, you are not too old. What I find that works for me is to take 1 cafeine pill 30 minutes before I go running couple with my headphones and some motivating music and it makes me want to run. No lie I run like an animal everytime. I was in the Army and ran a marathon before so I've been doing it for years.

I listen to podcasts when I work out. And I have also decided for myself to only listen to them while I work out. So I naturaly look forward to working out as I will get to listen to those podcasts :)
You could obviously replace that with an audio book or whatever you are intrested in
