Lump on my arm after a shot?

I got a chicken pox shot friday… its now Sunday and this thing is just starting to hurt. I thought it was suppose to hurt the day you get it. And not only that, but there is a nice sized lump going across my arm. Is that normal? I know they shoot you in your muscel, but I dont remember ever having a lump going across my arm.

Okay i give myself shots everyday and get lumps the cause of it
from hitting a vein, arm not relaxed when given the shot , it can be
a miss trust me lumps from shots will always go away i deal with
them everyday cause i need relax when i inject myself with Insulin
it can be the angle of how the needle is being used while injecting
Now with me i believe i should be standing when i inject myself
or maybe i should try another straight angle to inject myself but trust
me i used to get injections in my legs from hormones and i always
got lump on my leg i do believe our main reason is we need to relax
when we get injections i think we all get nervous from getting shots.

It is normal for the chickenpox vaccine to do this. It happens in roughly 20% of injections. If it persists for another day or two I'd worry. Of course I urge you to contact your doctor if you are concerned.
