I think most people want... natural beauty. Beauty that was always there... not beauty that had to be planned and paid for. Plastic surgery can be pretty brutal... It's a bit sad that there are so many people out there who feel so uncomfortable with themselves that they'd go through with actually changing their appearance- and some of these surgeries are really quite drastic. I can understand it though. I know what sort of procedures would make me look alotalotalotalotalot better. But at the same time, I'm not sure turning into a more universally physically appealing person is what I want or need in life. Why is it so important to look good or hot to so many different types of people, when really, all we're "supposed" to need is to look lovely to one person. I don't know. My thoughts are all over the place with this one. Some people get the surgery and finally feel confident to live as they want, they gain confidence. Others can't recognize themselves anymore and have to deal with identity crises. And there are plenty who fall in between these two extremes.
Overall, people will always admire and desire attractive people. They just don't what to know HOW that hotness was achieved. Especially if it was achieved in vastly artificial ways, like through surgery. I think it's veryveryvery true that super hot people get treated way better generally and have many more opportunities open to them. It's unfair. But if you think about it, there are super smart people, super rich people, super funny people, super athletic people... Sometimes you just have to work with what you have instead of trying to become something that you simply are not. There is something really great about meeting someone who is at peace with their looks.

I think plastic surgery is for people who are insecure about their looks. Why? Because they are. Which person who is content with her looks would voluntarily risk dying from getting too much narcotics or risk a botched plastic surgery causing them to look worse than before?
People are drawn to beauty, but most men don't really want to know how it's achieved, whether it be by starvation or plastic surgery. Does Blake Lively's nose look better now? Yes, but you can tell it's not natural.
"Why won't people accept the fact that it is good to enhance ur beauty instead of labeling u as insecure?"
I know this is what the plastic surgeons PR sells in Asian countries. It's good that you believe you're not spending tons of money because you're a bit insecure, but I'm willing to bet most people who opt for plastic surgery aren't content with what they had before.
I personally dislike any kind of plastic surgery it just looks bad to me. a lot of people dont approve of plastic surgery because of their religious viewpoints Catholics for example say thay god gave you your features and you shouldn't try to alter them if that makes sense (crazy religious mom as reference lol). Now in terms of labeling it as insecurity that is true because it doesn't matter how minor the surgery is, if your willing to change your appearance in such a way because you dont feel as though your as beautiful as you can be than thats insecurity.
I think it's sad that people cannot accept themselves for whom they are and feel the need to alter their appearance to subscribe to this warped sense of beauty created within the media.
I wouldn't date someone who had undergone plastic surgery.

I wouldn't date someone that had it, but my thoughts of others... I really don't care. You should check out the movie American Mary :c
img-comment-lol.9cache.com/.../...2007_700wa_0.gifI think plastic surgery is fine as long as it's not overdone.
Because it's not natural. It's insane. Why can't people be happy with the way they look? Unless there is some sort of deformity I don't agree with it.
No respect for it, people who get it are tacky and vain and superficial.
