2 years ago, I was terribly sleep deprived and every time I woke up my dog would bark at me and tell me to go to bed. Every time I was sleep deprived, it would bark at me but now I have slept 13 hours and my dog is still barking at me. Does this mean I have a health problem? I am thinking of getting myself checked out for breast cancer because I have these weird coloured bumps on the right side of my breasts and I am not sure where they come from.
Perhaps he urgently needs "to go"... or perhaps he feels lonely during the night.
Or third option: he's hungry and knows that when you appear in the morning, food is next :-)
I used to have 2 cavia's and when the rear door of our house opened they would "peeeeeep" very loud.
Food was on the other side of the door and they knew that very well.
It's the theory of Pavlov's dog, I think. They learn... quickly!

I think your dog can smell cancer.

I don't think your dog is barking at you to tell you to go back to bed, it's barking out of excitement that you are awake.
