Vegans, how do you like being vegan?

Any vegans on here? I'm trying to start and I'm curious about some things? How is it? Did you lose a lot if weight? Did you notice an improvement in your skin (brighter, softer, clearer, etc)? Just overall tell me about the vegan experience

I can't say I'm strictly vegan, but I probably eat vegan 5 or 6 days a week.
And ya I have no problem with it. I like it. I also eat few grains, so it's fruit and vegetables and I do feel my skin got clearer, my periods less painful and I have more energy, but no I didn't lose weight

I hate meat so vegan is best for me. Yeah,.. But my anemia gets crazy bad! :(

Oh yea... I tried that, then I started seeing dreams of me tearing ships apart and eating them raw... Later I found out those wernt dreams... I had no idea what I had been eating... A couple people went missing in the neighborhood...

Im vegetarian but was on a vegan diet for a few months when I was training every day, I didn't feel different and I could not tell if i was gaining anything as I was become fit really quick anyway.
I like cheese to much to stay vegan - vegetarian suits me fine.

Well, first I kill them, then gut them, skin them, bleed them, then cut them into smaller pieces so they fit in the freezer. That's if it's a mammal and not poultry of course

If its a mammal, bullet to the head. If its poultry, cut off their heads. Or if its a rabbit, they're too small for a bullet, break their necks then cut off their heads

Okay? That doesn't mean you don't use manure. Manure is a great fertilizer and what I think is essential for nutrient rich soil and veggies. Also it's not like I'm eating the manure, I was my vegetable

Losing weight isn't the purpose of going vegan. Just go on a diet. Honestly it was really hard at first but I love animals too much. It's so easy now I don't even think of it

Well going vegan is a diet. You don't have to have a disliking for animal cruelty or something to be vegan

why would you think that? It's not expensive at all. Meat and cheese are some of the most expensive food items out there. Soy milk is roughly equal to normal milk, soy butter or vegetable spread, cheaper than real butter...

@Izzy2102 I read that it's only expensive if you want it to be. A lot of the time vegans of organic and that's where it starts to get expensive. But I heard of you don't go organic then it's less expensive

When I hear things like that I imagine meaters consuming dead animals compared to vegetarians consuming plants, in my head dead animal meat shit would smell worse than plants.

I eat a lot of poor little animals and don't notice any smell but eat some fruits and vegetables that were yanked out of the ground or off trees in their prime and it reeks

That weird because I'm a vegetarian and my poop and farts never stink. When I was eating meat they smelled aweful but not there's barely an odor. Even my ex boyfriend would comment, I would say excuse me an he'd be amazed he didn't smell anything

I stopped eating meat at 12. lost only 10lbs, but grew 2" taller around the same time, so it made me look pretty skinny :/ went vegan at 15. my asthma slowly went away (came back mildly after moving to los angeles). I had great skin all through middle/high school. only 3 zits in high school (I actually remember each one, lol)..
