GaGers.. how often are your lips dry and/or chapped/peeling?

My lips get dry feeling at least once a day and have a chapped look to them almost all the time. I have to scrub them with sugar and olive oil to get the dead skin off and then use lip balm but then they get chapped again! ! Is this normal? Could it be from not drinking enough water?

It happens sometimes when I travel for a long time because I don't get much too drink. So do you drink enough?
And if you use chopsticks, use the organic 100% natural ones, the normal ones contain a by product of gasoline which dries out your lips. That's why people say it's chopsticks are like a rug, like tabacoo they do little good once you start but you have to keep using them just to feel normal. Or in this case have normal feeling lips

All the frackin' time! I can't stand it. they get dry so often. I am always peeling them. It is a wonder that boys like me because I am also always forgetting to put on chapstick.

Lol, I know. Kissing me would be like kissing a rock with sharp corners. My lips are not only crusty, but also a little rough around the edges. Sometimes when I touch them they poke me and it hurts a little, haha.

The thing is, I drink water all the damn time! My bladder can testify to that. So can the color (or lack thereof) of my pee. I don't know why, but my lips remain chappy. :/

I have the same problem... I find chapstick helps a lot.. I just hate the wet feeling of chapstick. And, then it sucks more when you eat or sip on a drink... all of the chapstick gets on the drink cup!

I usually apply chapstick before sleeping which helps my to have clean and moisturised lips throughout the (next) day. 😗

Yup, they get dry sometimes in Winter because of the weather and because you don't lose water as much and you don't feel thirsty to drink a lot of water like in Summer.

I usually use lip balm and I moisturize my whole face as well before I go to sleep at night, and this helps to get rid of all the dead skin. The skin becomes all perfect and smooth in the morning. I don't like to scrub with sugar. I feel it is so harsh on the skin and causes skin irritation. >_<

@characterdeelaa Johnson's 24-hour moisture soft cream, or vitamin E moisture cream. If your skin is sensitive then use moisturizers that don't have a smell.

Yup, I mainly use it before I sleep at night. Because when you sleep, your skin cells renew themselves, and I think the moisturizers help in the process of getting rid of the dead skin. I use them in the morning and after showers too.

Usually the ones that don't have a smell are especially made for sensitive skin. So I guess they don't have lots of chemicals. Thefaceshop has nice options. Don't forget to drink a lot of water too. We tend to forget that during Winter. xD

Monthly, but I've been looking after them lately and now its hardly ever! I use Chapstick day and night (two separate tubes) ones for daily use and the night one is like a lip treatment.. So no peeled lips coming my way anytime soon..

I always wear Chapstick, and I take really good care of my lips, so they are in great condition! My hands though, they suck.. I always get "old man hands" in the winter, no matter how much creme I use, or how many gloves I wear. Winters at the stables ruined them -.-'

Only a few times a year. I keep my chap stick with me at all times. You should try Carmax or Blistex lip repair.
