Fruits (limit it to 3 a day)
Veggies
Make sure you eat breakfast!
Your meals should be at a consistent time - meaning every day breakfast lunch dinner and snacks should be approx the same time.
Your plate should be mostly veggies.
Cardio burns a lots of calories so does heavy weights and stuff like that.
Try to work out 4-5 times a week for 45 mins - 1 hr.

It is simple. Try to reduce the amount of sugar you take in. Sugar is the #1 "bad food" it is in a lot of things in the form of high fructose corn syrup. Also try to lower (not eliminate) the amount of carbs you take in.
The key is to burn off more then you take in. Your thoughts?
The best diet is the one you can stick to. Any diet will work so long as you eat fewer calories than you burn, and can keep doing it.
As for exercises: I'm a runner, but I also weight train to gain/maintain muscle.

Walking and riding a bike for exercises and my wife always had the most success with Weight Watchers.
