Should I cauterize my staph infection?

Anonymous
I have a staph infection of the hair follicles on my lower leg (folliculitis.) I've been through THREE rounds of antibiotics. Tomorrow night I run out and it's still not completely gone.
Do you think it's safe to cauterize the remaining spots? like heat something metal with a lighter and press & hold it to the spot? I'm thinking that the heat will kill the remaining infection, as that's how people used to care for them, right?
I know it's going to hurt really bad and the burn itself could get infected, but I have thereupedic lavender oil and apparently that's a natural antiseptic so I thought I could put that on it after it's cauterized. I've been using it so far with the antibiotics, and it's been helping, but like I said I run out tomorrow and it's still not gone. I don't have health insurance or I wouldn't be asking :(
Do you think it would be a safer bet to dig it open and pour alcohol or peroxide on it? :( I can't afford to go to the doctor a fourth time for this
I'm not trolling, im seriously desperate. I almost did it yesterday but I got scared because I know it's going to hurt
Should I cauterize my staph infection?
