I'm not sure what you mean by out running your body...
But when you run, your leg muscles need oxygen to feed them. Oxygen causes your body to break down glycogen (sugar) into ATP (energy for your muscles). So when you work any muscle, it creates a demand for oxygen to create energy. Secondly, your heart pumps blood to get that oxygen from your blood stream to your muscles, so that's why your heart beat goes up. Considering your leg contains the biggest muscles in your bodies (glutes, quads, hamstrings), there is a lot of oxygen demand when you run.
So although you might think your lungs are your limit, that's not 100% the case. As your legs become more efficient at running, they'll need less oxygen, your heart rate will be lower while you run and so will your respiratory rate. Your heart will also grow as you exercise more (elite athletes are known to have enlarged hearts). Your heart will be able to pump more blood at once and you'll have to take less breaths because of it.
And lastly, as you run more, you'll learn how to breathe efficiently without interrupting yourself with each step. A good practice is to breathe in for three steps, then breathe out for 2 steps-- having a breathing pattern can significantly improve your running times (particularly for distance events).

Trust me on this: I guarantee you, and I mean absolute metaphysical certainty, that wherever you are on the running path your lungs are right there inside your chest still with you.
Well if you eat and train there is nothing run with running out of breath. That's how you get better. No pain no gain. Are you a regular runner? How many times a week do you run? There is a thing called 'over training' but you would have injuries if you did.

I would say you are out of shape if that happens, however you can only run at your peak speed for so long before having to slow down. Running is pretty harsh on the leg muscles it can cause injuries rather easily you might want to try a lower impact sport or fitness regime. That being said when I was 210 pounds I couldn't do to much really but at 170 now I am a beast I can run fast for quite awhile I ran on the treadmill for like 45 minutes and I had 3 girls standing their watching me and one had their phone out I swear they were recording me lol Check out www.bodybuilding.com great workout exercise videos and photos, stretches, nutrition tips and forum which are rather funny actually. Just get your heart rate up and keep it up for as long as you can or do interval training switching back and forth between really fast and them a walking pace that is good also.
One part of your body can outperform another part of your body. For instance, your respiratory system cannot last as long or work as hard as the muscles you use to run apparently. That's pretty normal, usually your lungs will give out and you'll have a hard time breathing before your legs will give out.
The only thing that can't up with running super fast is your legs. There was some research done about how fast a human can run, it was 32 MPH. If someone ran faster than that, their legs would be destroyed and would need surgery done to them. But, I could be wrong though. And the only reason why I think your lungs can't keep up with you is because you are out of shape, and your body isn't use to running at full speed.
Well you could probably run yourself to death. I mean the first marathon guy died. Horses have been known to run themselves to death as well.
Depends. In a full sprint, my muscles usually give out before my lungs do. But 30 or 45 seconds after a full sprint. My lungs begin to feel it.
My fingers outrun my mind. I'm slow like that. Dam these fast fingers :(
