Why is my brothers friend so rude? And why does he think he's all that when he's stupid?

My brothers freinds are always making fun of me and they call me shorty all the time. : ' (

Like for example:
Today I was sitting in between two walls. (It was a really small cramped space.) but I could fit inside and then thought why not. So I was sitting there on my phone.
And my brothers freind came up to me and this is how the conversation went:

him: "why are you sitting here?"

Me: "because I want too."

Him: "are you stuck? When I was your age I could fit in there."

Me: "Just because I'm sitting here doesn't mean I'm stuck."

Him: "it's okay fatty"

Me: "shut up, I weigh 100 times less than you!"

Him: "I'm stronger than you, I'm better than you, I'm faster than you, I have more muscle than you, I'm taller than you.. And the list goes on."

Me: I'm a girl, I don't care. You're stupid. Don't talk to me."

Him: "I'm smarter than you too."

Then I just ignored him. Why is he so rude? What is his problem? Why is he such a bully? What should I do next time something like this happens?
