How to stop with for pleasure and just eat for sustainment?

I like food and I like cooking but it's seriously making me fat. I try to eat healthy but of course I always end up wanting something non healthy.
Also I waist so much time and money on food because I try I make things thy are healthy and delicious. When it is healthy and delicious I'm always stupid and eat too much (I make extra for left overs)
But I'm tired of this, I just want to be one of those people who really only eats because thy know they have to, so they just eat like one peanut butter sandwich every meal. I'm really just trying I figure out how I can really not care about how my food tastes
