Was my doctor right? Am I suppose to be 'thick'?

Anonymous
So a couple years ago when I was 13/14, I went to see my doctor because my mother thought I was taking my diets to extremes and to some degrees I guess she was right. She took me there so my doctor would tell me if my weight was OK. The Doc said that my weight would never change. I would jump around from 155-165 at 5'7. I'm african/black and so was she. And she basically told that I'm ssuppose to be thick.

Fast foward almost 4 years later I'm 5'8 and still around the same weight. I eat healthy, but I admit I might still be overovereating. (Currently trying to fix this). I run 2 hours a day 5x a week for my school 's track and field and play volleyball.

I can't drop the weight. I've been trying to for 4 years. Am I suppose to be thick? Or is this just a myth?

Physically I don't look thick. I wear a size 6/8 in dress depending on the store.
yep, your suppose to be thick
