It's fine to wash your external genitalia (i. e. your vulva) with mild, unscented soap. You just don't want to be washing internally (i. e. inside your vagina) with soap.
Of course, if you experience any problems (infection, irritation, etc.), then you would probably want to change your washing routine, either trying a different type of soap, or just using water.
I clean with water only. I don't use soap, but most of the milder ones *aren't* going to hurt, it just isn't recommended.
They do make feminine wipes and washes for that purpose that are supposed to be gentler and safer. However, my lady parts haven't needed them.
This is why you use onlye Feminine Hygiene products for that area. Feminine wash is already tested to maintain the ph balance for those parts. Never use regular soap for them!

I used to use soap and never experienced a problem. Then my friend had this little bottle in her shower called Vagisil and I asked what it was and she told me all about the PH balance and everything. So now, I use a really mild liquid soap wash that's meant for your body if you have sensitive skin. I tried all the vagina washes but I felt too (don't want to be gross) wet? down there when I used it and didn't feel clean.
So yeah, I just use super mild liquid soap.
I only use it on the outside which is reportedly safe. Since the vagina cleans itself, you should only use water.
You mean like douche? Oh hell no I never douche... yea I mean the outside.
NO. Lol. Don't douche. You only use soap on the outside of the vagina. When cleaning between the labia majora, you use water. Soap irritates the vulva.
I occasionally use soap specifically made for that area, not every shower though.
I do. Just the outside. You really shouldn't clean the inside. The vagina cleans itself.
Soap and/or shower gel.
Nope I don't.
