I can't sleep until 1:30-2:00ish at night..i used to be able to go to bed at 11 but I have been sleeping so late for the past two months it's horrible.
How do I fix it?
Be tired, not too tired, but normal tired in the day. Don't get stressed as it is usually the thing that keeps us awake, no eating before bed, keep all electronic device away from you when you sleep, and regulate your sleeping time little by little. Like, say this week you will sleep at 12.30, ten next week at 12, the next next week at11.30, and so on. It's horrible and better fix it soon, or you'll end up like me, I used to sleep at 2-3 a. m for 3 years. It messed up my concentration during day activity.
Your sleeping to much this is no good, you need to do something physical to exhaust your body if this does not help I would suggest listening to relaxation cd's to help you relax and sleep. sometimes I walk between 6-9 miles a day, go to work come home to two kids and I lie staring at the ceiling wishing I could sleep. You need to try different things to help you with this situation as everyone is different.
I don't sleep too much though I sleep too little... I am a college student so some days i have to be up a tlike 6 in the morning and other days at 9 so in reality i barely sleep and then I over sleep on the weekends it's horrible.
Set your alarm to get you up earlier and force yourself to get up. Eventually you will be able to get your sleep times to straighten out.
go to the gym because then you will get tired, and you will fall asleep very quick

wow! i sleep at 9.30 and get up at 4, but i am kind of habituated to it
have an early dinner, at around 7.30, so that you don't feel really full while sleeping
unplug and relax... drink warm milk if required, i have heard it helps...
assign important tasks for early next morning. then you will go to sleep, thinking of getting proper rest before starting your work the next day
warm bath helps, so i've heard...
I have the same problem as you. I would say that exercising to tire you out, and putting technology away by 11:00 PM every night should work. The only reason I stay up so late is the internet haha, so putting it away should do the trick

I see that you already got many good hints. Yes you have to relax in the evening. Light sport (not heavy), stop every computer and web thing (it keeps you stressed) and read a book or listen to music. Drink some relaxing tee or a glass of wine or beer (only one !!!)
Find yourself a physically demanding hobby and start waking up early. I guarantee you'll be sleeping like a baby waay before midnight.
Set your alarm and force yourself to get up early until your body adjusts. No naps.

I used to have the same problem. Lack of vitamin D and no exercise can cause sleeplessness.
Get up earlier and you'll be tired earlier.
