Does anyone else have Sensory Processing Disorder/sensory integration disorder?

This is a disorder that messes with 1 to all senses and blocks the signals to the brain. Personally, mine effects touch and taste. For Taste, I eat a low variety of foods and touch, if I touch something once, my brain doesn't fully pick it up so I have to touch it twice. These aren't common symptoms just Personal ones even though I do have many of the common symptoms too. Does anyone know of or have this disorder? Its "statisticly" supposed to affect 1/30 people so : / it also normally comes with autism which I wasn't born with though I just wanna know if there's anyone on here that deals with this too

I wasn't aware that it was a disorder but my taste is like yours and also touching something doesn't pick it up much unless I do it more than once so thanks for the awareness.

Perhaps not to a large extent, but I definitely don't smell, hear, touch or taste things as well as I should. However some symptoms I relate lightly to and some I'm the opposite so maybe not. Thanks for the website ^_^

My nephew has it. He does things to help him cope like putting on noise cancelling headphones when he studies. His isn't so effected by touch, more by sounds.

I have Auditory Processing Disorder. I often can't understand what is being said to me or where sound is coming from. It has completely affected progress in school and creates issues at work. It's rare and people don't understand:(

The part about reading aloud i would hate having to read aloud in school because i know i wouldn't be able to get through the paragraphs without stumbling.

Oh cool someone else who had it :O I have my taste and touch affected. I got a symptom where I have to double touch everything twice either consciously or unconsciously and it sucks. My brains way to counter it: biting my fingers. Not the nail the finger and I can't stop it and it HURTS. :'(

Do you freak out when the teacher says we are going to have a fire drill but they don't when and you sit then with your fingers in your ears scared to death waiting. That was me in school. Now at my college when fire drills happen its an announcement to leave the building.

Or when the easiest game at a carvinal is popping the balloons with darts but your have to hold your ear with one hand and throw with your other, thats also me. Or the other game where you have to shoot the can with a gun to win a prize. BUT for some strange reason i love to go to loud concerts!

I don't have my hearing affected only my touch and taste so we have different "ticks" I guess XD

Yea.. I forgot one symptom cause it's creepy but sense the double touch thing my brain Hates it so instead of just fidgeting to keep my hands entertained, it decided to bite the skin off the end of my fingers and it happens unconsciously and it HURTS and I wish I could stop it but :(

I dont notice little details. Like those 'spot the differences' things are hard for me.
I'm really bad at math because of it, its hard to distinguish symbols.
My motor skills were effected as a child.
They also said I'd never be able to learn languages in school (which isn't true) lol
