Guys, if my guy friend wants to be my personal trainer at the gym?

we have known each other since we were 13 and have always had a friendly relationship but nothing romantic. there is sexual tension at times but we have always been in a relationship with someone else. he and i were joking about it - i thought - since he is a gym rat and i want to get into better shape. is he genuine or tryin to get a piece?

Not sure, but you two have been just friends for so long, you could easily say you want to keep things the way they are, and I'm sure he'll understand.

Getting in shape is never a bad thing, and you seem smart enough to know what his true motives will be after a few training sessions.

He could be genuine but since their is sexual tension and both of you are single I think it's a bad idea because emotion of passion can happen at anytime since all the stars so to speak are align for you two to hook up.
