Maybe it seemed like it grew fat because she didn't see the gradual growth and only saw the end product.
But really nothing makes your hair grow much faster.
Of course doing thins like conditioning your hair and massaging your scalp do create a better matrix for your hair so there's less breakage but it's not really spreading up the growth rate.
Your hair is basically just excess material your body doesn't need (like protein). So if your eating healthy and drinking tons of water then your body will be able to have more excess material to give away. So basically your just reaching your potential not really making it grow faster

I don't think so. When you braid your hair, you're not doing a lot of styling, which causes breakage. So it grows normally.
No it'll grow at the same rate but when you take the braids down it will seem like it grew more because they aren't braided anymore
It used to help mine grow faster. Mine used to be to my butt

It won't break as often if you keep it in a braid. That doesn't mean it will actually affect your hair-growth rate.
Yeah, because it helps be against tangles, breakage. I heard that too and thats another reason I wish I could with my hair
hhahahaha hell no... hair grow naturally basically...
No, but if you really want to grow your hair, use olive oil everyday before shampooing your hair.
No but taking your hair out of the braid before combing it will make it last-er.
She's right, it protects against breakage.
