Would it be okay to wear a tampon over night? If I'm not on my period?

I should have started my period a day ago but it's a day late, anyway I usually start during the night and I am suppose to have a sleepover at my boyfriends. So I'm really worried I will make a mess during the night if I did start. Would it be okay to wear the tampon during the night even if I'm not on my period. I'd have it in for 6 hours the most but just incase I do start. Or would I get that tss thing?

It's only be in for 6 hours, and TSS is really rare.. But you really shouldn't wear a tampon unless you've already started.. I'd go with a pad!

No. It soaks up any moisture and will leave you super dry. It will be difficult to get out.

You can also wind up with Toxic Shock Syndrome. Wear a panty liner or a thin pad if you are that worried.

No its not ok. It could give u shock syndrome for having a tampon in for more than 2 or 3 hours.

I really wouldn't recommend it but I don't know anything about tampons really because I can't use them.
