How can I store fresh fruit juice in the fridge?

If you like to juice your fruits or vegetables... can you help me out here?
For instance, if someone was to make homemade carrot juice but they wanna keep it fresh for several weeks or a company like V8 spalsh makes veggie drinks but it stays fresh, what do they put in it to prevent it from spoiling? Putting it in the fridge is not good enough because (a) what if I dont want to drink it right away (it will start tasting weird 8 days top lol) and (b) what if I don't have space in my fridge at the moment and I want to keep it on the counter or something? (no doubt it would not be able to stay fresh at room temperature) so again, how do I juice as much as I want and store them for as long as I want but keep them fresh?

Manufacturers use preservatives - generally for juices they use Sodium Benzoate. Some also use - Butylated hydroxyanisole, or BHA, and butylated hydroxytoluene, or BHT, are phenolic chemical compounds that are often added to packaged foods to preserve their shelf life. BHA is used to keep foods from going rancid and is often added to high-fat foods, like butter, meat and baked goods, as well as cereals, snack foods, dehydrated potatoes, beer and chewing gum. BHT keeps foods from changing flavor and color and helps prevent them from developing an odor. Cereals, shortenings and foods high in fat and oils often contain BHT. Although the results have been inconclusive so far, large doses of BHA and BHT have been shown to promote the growth of tumors in lab animals,

If you go longer than 6 hours I believe, the nutrient content of the juice is half of what it was fresh. The longer you go between juicing and drinking the lower the nutrients. So if you are juicing to get the benefits then drink ASAP. If you are doing it just because you like the taste then put it in the fridge to avoid spoiling. If you want to keep it on the counter I would not leave for very long as it could spoil.
Yes prepackaged juices are shelf stable, but they have preservatives and are frequently heated/homogenizied, to prevent spoilage.

Add a preservative like sodium bezoate. You can find it through a google search or on ebay.

Or pasteurize it. That kills all of the bacteria so it doesn't spoil as quickly. It is easy to do and here is a link regarding how to pasteurize juice to FDA standards. extension.psu.edu/.../...Pasteurization%20Time.pdf

Lastly, if you add lemon juice it will help preserve color. You know how an apple starts to get brown on the meat part after you begin eating it or after you've sliced it? That is oxyidization. Rubbing your apple slice in lemon juice in a saucer will prevent them from browning for hours or even days. Similarly, Lemon juice will help preserve color in your juices.

if its "fresh" then you have to finish it before it expires, its as simple as that. there are no preservatives, therefore, it being "fresh". so just put it in the fridge and consume within a reasonable amount of time.

you should do this, store the veggies & fruit in the fridge, (if you say putting it in the fridge is not good enough then I don't know what the fuck you're gonna do lol) and only take out the amount you want to juice, don't overstock on the food. just buy the correct amount for like 3 days, guarantee fresh every time, then restock.

bottom line, only juice what you are going to consume for the time being, don't juice a ton and try to save it later.

Commercially they add antioxidants and other stuff to prevent them from fermenting. But its better to make them fresh because vitamins will degrade very quickly once juiced.

It's best to drink juices right after making them, but if you use cold pressed juicer and then properly store juice in the fridge, it can last for a few days (or so they say). I've also heard that adding tiny bit of lemon juice into other juices helps them stay fresh longer.

Fresh juices don't last more than a day and should be consumed asap. V8 is pasturized and therefore won't spoil. It's lacking a lot of nutrients because of this

The only way to preserve it that I know of is putting it into an air tight mason jar but you still have to drink it within 24hrs

Sorry you can't do that. It need some preservatives to store it for longer duration. Fresh juice can't be kept fresh for whole night. Its best to take fresh.
