I am going to start taking classes at college, what would be a good path?

I am 33 and have no previous education as far as college. I have gone to Cosmotolgy school. I want something that will lead to better jobs. I am very good at science, reading and comprehenshion. Not so great with math but once I get into it, its better. What do you think? Did you take classes that lead to better things? Some that you recommend staying away from?

I understand the saying " Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life" but what I love isn't paying the bills. I need something that isn't rocket science but involves intelligence and has good pay.

Hey just cat i went back to college at 38 i was having so much anxiety about being so much older and wasn't to sure of myself either. Up until the day of class i still wasn't sure i was even gonna go. i just thought it through and said the hell with these kids im older wiser and i am gonna have the balls and go. I am greatful i went i have a better job with more pay. GO

Oh I am going lol. I went and spoke with a counselor yesterday. I am going to take a class for the fun of it and then take one in project management to see if that is something I would want to do. I am starting slow so i don't overwhelm myself.

Learn programming languages and also can try learing telecommunications
Both are rather easy and really usefull
I mean with any of em you can start working anywhere in the world

Yes, but I don't simply want a job, I want a career with upward momentum

Yep with those two it'll be rather easy that's what i mean and there are many paths you could choose
I mean with programming you can work in so many fields now
Also you could try Accounting and Auditing
Don't know if college has classes regarding those two though
I never went to one just straight to university

You have to think of things that are always required and that are not thongs which ideally need a long career path as you're going to be starting about a decade later than your peers.

Nursing. Administration. Social work.

It really depends what your interests and passions are as it will be easier to find a career path.

Tried to do the career that I was passionate about and I can't make any money, so now I am going for less passion and more money. I haven't had a job that I didn't excel at so I just want to get out of the entry level BS and move up. I understand what you are saying though, thanks :-)

Stay away from liberal arts. No money in that. Try and find something that interests you. Computer science is a growing field.
