Does it matter what time of the day you exercise?

I am wondering if there are more benefits if you exercise during the day as opposed to night time? Some say during the day, but at the end of the day, does it really matter to the body and its effect on the muscles and metabolism?
Anyone have any experience with this or stats? Is evey "BODY" different in the way of getting results?
Does it matter what time of the day you exercise?
