So been to my docs today for a meeting with the spine/trauma specialist over my spine problem and it was not good and not common especially at my age apparently there is part of my spine that is very badly compressed and nothing with repair it so its life changing for me as certain Job options are gone and things I want to do gone I will never be able to things like getting racing licence gone or learning to fly.
The specialist said I have 2 options nether may work 1. Is to go under the knife and have part of my spine wall removed to try and ease the spine and the damaged area the second is to take steroid injections which are temporary he told me the risks of both and I have spent the last 4 hours really frightened I have wanted to be left alone since told.
I have some time to consider my options as it can be put on hold for 3 months but has any gagger been through anything where you have little option and how did you cope.
this is the toughest thing I have ever had to deal with and as I say I am very frightened right now and pain killers , muscle relaxants are useless.
