I wasn't a high school football player but I was an athlete in high school (cross country and track). So while I don't have football-specific advice for you, I just have a general reminder.
If you are really passionate about sports and really want to do well, don't give in to the peer pressure to start drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, and doing drugs. There can be a lot of it, especially among football players. It's only going to take you down from your best physical condition, and even if it doesn't really get you that out of shape, it could take away your motivation to play a sport, to keep up the workout regimen, to get up early and go the extra mile to do whatever you have to do to be your strongest.
I understand that no one likes a preachy person but even if alcohol and drugs don't completely ruin someone's life, I have seen them make people lazy and passionless many times.
try to become as explosive as possibile, and make sure to eat like a beast
What position do you play?
Safety
That's my favorite position! Haha I tried out for that! But was out classed do to my height...
explosiveness is key
You are the last line of defense so you need to be able to catch anyone!
Sprints sprints sprints!!!
Honestly, just do lots of pushups, shoulder presses, sit ups and strength training.
A little trick... that I used when I played, work on your running stamina and speed. Run everyday.
Play football, I guess. Just be prepared for a lot of running and just plain lots of moving. Running, push-ups, squats - you'd be in hell for life, or at least until you no longer play organized sports.
You should have already started playing by now. Most of the pros started playing professional football in middle school.
It's my first high school year, I played in middle school.. And nah that's not close to being true
