How often do you wash your hair and what kind of shampoo do you use? How do you take care of your hair?

My hair get dry if I don't use hair oil, gel or brylcreem etc. But too much oily hair is nuisance so, I wash them daily but using shampoo daily makes the hair weaker :(

I wash my hair daily too and use the following organic serum oil to help keep it smooth and moisturised since the weather in Singapore is so hot. I have been using it for 3 years. It only costs about SDG12 and one to two drops is all you need each time l. It smells nice too : ) and you won't feel anything after you have applied it. Your hair won't feel oily at all although it is serum. I love it so much and give it 5 stars. One bottle can last me about half a year. It also has the olive and papaya versions but this is the one I have been using. I don't need to use any conditioners at all because this serum really makes my hair moisturised.

If your hair still feels dry after using a serum, then try using a deep moisturising shampoo and conditioner in addition to it. I think Dove's deep moisturising versions are quite good and smell good too but remember to leave the conditioner on for a few minutes before rinsing it off : )

And I never use any kind of soap for my hair. Most soaps will make the hair dry and brittle. I notice that a lot of people around me who use soap have very dry and brittle hair and once they stopped using it after I suggested that they do so, their hair texture improved :- )

I use soaps too (if I am not using shampoo) otherwise they become dirty because of oil. :( That's the real problem :/

I think you probably have an oily scalp but dry hair :-) Perhaps bring your own set of miniature deep moisturising shampoo and conditioner when you hit the gym next time and and stop using the soap at the gym.

I think there might be too much lye in the soap that makes the hair dry. Anyway, I still feel it is important to wash the hair daily to make it clean and smelling nice, especially in this terribly hot weather.

Or you can buy those organic shampoos and conditioners with aromatherapy oil. Those are meant for daily use and are milder on the hair :-)

Don't worry too much about it, your hair/scalp problem is very reversible with some painstaking efforts :-)

My hair easily gets dry, so I wash it a few times a week instead of daily. I use homemade hot oil treatment before every wash and I always use conditioner after shampoo. I use dry shampoo sometimes to keep my hair looking clean.

I have black hair, and used to have a dandruff issue, so this might not apply for you.

I wash it twice a week cause it's so short and washing it more dries it out faster. I ONLY use Pink Oil, Coconut oil, or carrot oil. All three both work wonders and smell good, especially the coconut and carrot stuff it's so sweet smelling. I then brush it, trying to get waves in, and leave it for the day.

I spray it with a type of moisturizer every night if I recently cut it down to 1/8th an in.

I used to apply coconut oil too :) but I switched to olive oil now.

The moisturizer stuff really does nothing but give it a nice layer of oil during the nice. Not too much, just enough so I'm not having to fight with it in the morning.

I wash mine every 3rd day... I use a shampoo and conditioner with Moroccan oil in it... but don't get me wrong I shower every day... just don't wash my hair because it's not good to do it everyday, you need that oil to be in your hair and not keep it dried out

Yeah I wet my hair when not shampooing... if you use shampoo everyday it dries out your hair. I'm a white male and sometimes I'll buy cholesterol from the ethnic section and use that in my hair in the shower too

i wash my hair every other day and twice weekly when it was longer because its better for it, i use a combo shampoo and conditioner then after i wash that out i put on a good quality conditioner and leave it for 5 minutes, after i've washed that out i lightly towel dry my hair and put in some omega repair by schwarzkof its amazing its like a 7 in 1 beauty balm for your hair and i get really dry hair if i don't follow my routine so obviously its doing some good

I wash my hair every other day, and I haven't really stuck with a certain shampoo, although I do like Mane & Tail (it is a horse shampoo, but it works wonders on human hair as well and is also used for humans). I used to wash it every day but it really dried my hair out, although I have somewhat oily skin (not too bad though).
I use both shampoo and conditioner, and I just recently started using a leave-in conditioner as well that works wonders for my hair. I never blow dry it and I don't even own a blow dryer. The only heat I use is when I straighten it sometimes. I used to dye it but haven't in several months now, and I comb it out daily. I do not use any hair accessories, as they give me headaches.

I use Dove's Daily Shine shampoo and conditioner. I oil my hair once a week, keep it overnight and wash it off the next morning and I eat food which makes the hair grow faster and become healthy.

Shampoo and conditioner 3 times a week, yup! I need conditioner otherwise it creates tangles in my hair. Conditioner makes my hair very baby soft, shiny and tangle free. But, I also eat almonds, coconut piece and all to get all the necessary nutritions

I try to use shampoo once every three days, which is what I heard some expert advise. It seems to work pretty well. The other days I just rinse it in water when I'm showering anyway.
