Girls, Is it harder for black women to lose weight?

I've been wanting to lose weight lately but it just seems like I haven't been getting results. Its harder to lose it and I was just wondering if this was something that all black women go through.

Well there are slim black women you know. When I was thicker I lost weight and got down to 121 lbs. Everyone's metabolism is different. Exercise is extremely important. You can't rely on starving yourself. You need to move around.

Could you please tell me what you did to lose that weight? I'm about to enter my senior year of high school and I've been over weight for most of my life. I just want to feel good about myself for once

I ate in moderation. I still ate what I wanted but in moderation. There is no way I was going to deprive myself of my favorite foods. If you do, you won't last long on your journey to losing weight. I stopped eating late. I drank water everytime I felt hungry. I'm not suggesting you do this, but there were days I only ate once a day and was fine. Most importantly I exercised a few times a week for maybe 30 min and that was pretty much it. I would recommend weighing yourself every month instead of every week. The scale is the devil and discouraged me a few times.

Its harder to lose weight if you are already bigger but if you are smaller or VERY big losing weight is easier.

Do you guys have any tips because it just feels so hard loosing weight. In plus sizes, I'm a 16/18 in jeans and a 2x in t-shirts and I just want to get this weight off.

Low carb diets work for almost everybody but MOST people gain the weight back after getting off the diet. However the FIRST time you do this diet - you are less likely to gain the weight back after getting off the diet. Eating 1 table spoon of peanut butter every time you crave foods but aren't hungry and then eat other foods. The peanut butter is 100 calories but will trick your stomach into thinking you've had a big meal. Eat 1/4 of an eggplant everyday because 1 eggplant has 16 grams of fibre - microwave it for 3-4 minutes and then add soy sauce and sesame oil.

Yes they can do something about it. But. Some people are way more prone to holding and gaining weight.
