Any vegetarians/pescatarians out there?

So I have recently decided that I want to become a pescatarian. I feel like I'd feel better and be healthier, plus I've never really liked the taste of meat. However, I find this to be very expensive and was hoping that any of you out there could help me out with recipes and where to buy groceries that wouldn't make me go broke since I am a broke student lol. Thank you!

I'm vegan and don't worry, it's really not expensive, you just have to learn how to cook on a budget. I'm in college too, so I totally get you, but seriously potatoes and rice are your best friends. They're some of the cheapest foods out there and they're seriously so good when spiced and prepared right. It's really not any more expensive than when I was eating an omnivore diet, I've just replaced animal products with more fruits and veggies. Look for the deals, use coupons, get membership cards, shop in bulk, plan your meals efficiently, and always prepare a grocery list.
One of my favourite meals this past year was steamed broccoli, sweet potatoes, rice and some frozen veggies on top, with lemon to taste. It's so easy to make, and cheap too.

I am vegetarian and I usually buy most of my food at Walmart. Sometimes I shop at Whole Foods, but its too expensive for me. I should warn you that just because you dont eat meat doesn't mean you will loose weight. My older sister became vegatarian as well, but ended up gaining weight instead. She mostly ate junkfood that didn't have meat at all. It is important you get healthy food and make smart decisions when going food shopping. Since your not going to eat meat anymore, try to find food that provides a lot of iron. I have to take Iron pills since I am extremely low on it.

I know this isn't going to help me lose weight, that's not why I'm doing it. I've gone pesc before but I was living at home when I did it so it was a lot easier financially. I'm doing it for my overall health and the fact that I felt so much better being pesc and had so much more energy. I know what to buy it just seems like everything is expensive. But thank you for your insight, I will definitely find my closest walmart!

I'm vegan (because I'm lactose intolerant and eggs make me sick), but if you have a Sprouts farmer's market grocery store, I would check there. Sometimes they have some great deals on things I wouldn't have tried before. I like their selection. Trader Joe's also might some good deals.

I like the sushi I make, I use these nori sheets I got at Whole Foods. I get some produce once in a while at this Ocean Beach Organic Farmer's Market... but I am not sure where you can get some good fish. Maybe try some at your local farmer's markets?

Try your local farmers market, and just general grocery stores carry a lot, just make. sure to check your labels
