Should I go to the hospital?

I'm not site what i should do. I got my birth control out a month ago and I am having my first period since it was out and I'm miserable. I've been up since 430 in the morning in pain and crying most of the day, I had to leave work early because I couldn't work. I hurt so bad i can't do anything I can't even sleep and am so exhausted. I think I passed out earlier i was laying down and don't remember anything but my phone went off and it was like i woke up from hearing my phone go off and like 15 min had passed. All day I've felt off and very forgetful and I have to really pay attention to what i was doing because i wouldn't remember doing things. I had to go to my brothers and i don't remember driving home and I almost drive right past my exit. Now I'm home and still in horrible pain my face and lips feel numb, my arms are like tingly and sometimes I can feel pulsating through my body and I'm shaking. I'm laying down trying to sleep but can't really. I've never been in so much pain or felt this bad before and I don't know why this is happening. I wanna go get checked out but i feel they'll just say your just having your period and I will waste my time. Waiting in the er here is a 4-6hr wait in the waiting room and more waiting once you get in the back so I'm not really sure it's worth it.

I would definitely go to the hospital. Sounds like you could be having a reaction to the birth control pills or something else more serious. It's better for them to check you out and say nothing is wrong then to ignore how you are feeling and have something happen.

If they send you home, stop by a walmart and pick up some midol. Just make sure you get the kind without caffeine. That will help take the pain away and allow you to sleep. Take a warm bath, and take a hot water bottle or heating pad with you to bed. This will also help the cramps.

Make sure you are not home alone, in case you start feeling even worse and have to go back.

I'm not on any birth control right now. I had to get it removed because it was making me sick and have periods every other week. I got pills but was told I couldn't start them until I got a period and this is just the first day and it's this horrible.

Sounds normal to me. When I was on birth control it always messed up my periods. It's crazy, but the hormones really do stay in your body for a long time, so that could be causing the intense cramps from hell. I've been there and they are the worst. The best thing to do is to try and take something for the cramps so you can rest. Rest will help you focus. I've had the debilitating cramps before, and the only thing you can do is rest. They will go away eventually, and I found that midol helped immensly!

Nothing helps the cramps at all. Tylenol and motrin do nothing and I'm allergic to midol and pamprin. I don't have anything stronger, usually weed helps but even that's had no effect on these cramps. I don't know maybe I need iron or some blood

The pain? It's like right in the middle down low like my uterus hurts, my hips, legs down to my shins pretty much my entire lower half of my body is in intense pain. I'm bleeding heavy but not really abnormally heavy for me.

I would go to the doctor, but don't let them turn you into a test dummy
