I am SUPER addicted to diet coke. I drink like 2 liters a day on average and if I'm stressed or sad, I drink more of it and I feel better. However, I'm thinking that it's starting to take its toll on my health as I can't breathe very well, I feel light headed if I stand up after siting for awhile, and I get little stomach cramps. I try to stop, but I can't. If I'm eating fast food, I NEED a diet coke to wash it down and I drink diet coke if I'm working late to get the caffeine to help stay up later. Should I seek physiological help?
I would look into it and make an appointment. I don't know if they can help with a diet soda addiction, but it might be worth a try.
In the mean time try weaning yourself off it. If you need caffeine try coffee. Try bringing it down to less than 2 liters a day. I have also found that by drinking more water it helps with the cravings. I had a similar problem with soda.

That's not an addiction, it's a lack of self control.
Diet Coke is bad for you and should not be drank this much! Replace it with water, fight the urge man. Any time you want a Diet Coke drink WATER.
