While there's no direct link to depression and cancer, negative thoughts and depression can affect your physical health. Studies have shown that people who have negative emotions and stress are more likely to get sick, and people who are positive tend to heal faster and are generally healthier. People who are deeply depressed are more likely to get sick. Mental health and physical health go hand in hand.

I don't think it's necessarily a direct cause, but if I'm not mistaken, it can make you more vulnerable. Have you talked with a specialist or counselor?
Depresson can lead to many illnesses... like highblood pressure, eating disorders.. etc. but i really dont think cancer is one.

Depression does lead to many physiological changes... and there have been many research which prove the connection between these physiological changes and growth of cancerous cells in body... so it could be very well true for depression to lead to cancer but it may not happen to every individual who suffers from depression cause genes also play a role in it.
If you're talking about being so depressed that you start smoking and/or drinking excessively, then yes it could indirectly cause cancer.
But depression in itself does NOT cause cancer. Whoever says or thinks that is fucking stupid.Don't you believe it. It's pure ignorance. There's absolutely no scientific evidence that supports such claims. If anything, science has proven that having cancer often leades to depression. Which is kinda easy to figure out, right?
That's the absolute dumbest thing I have heard all month. How could something like depression possibly lead to cancer? Tell me how that could possibly be logical.
If doctors knew that science would be a step further.
no, no it canoot
