Burnt my face with hair removal cream. Help?

I put hair removal cream above my lips yesterday to hopefully get rid of my moustache (because it's been embarrassing me, it's noticeable). I didn't do my research first, I read on the label that it's applicable on sensitive skin so I put it on my face. I used it twice at the same area, and then there was a stingy feeling, then it started to become red, my skin was irritated and it was burning. I quickly washed it off with cold water, then applied cold compress. It was still burning so I applied ointment to soothe the burn. It worked, but when I washed it off with water, it started to burn again.
And today it doesn't hurt anymore, but it's still red, and it left red dots on my skin and it is very noticeable, and it kinda wounded my upper lip.
what do I do? How long does it take before the dots and wound disappear?

Oh don't worry! I've totally done this before! First of all, never apply the cream twice, i did this the first time i used it and had the same reaction. Normally only apply it once, leave for around 5 mins but if starts to sting badly then wash off immediately. Rub the area to get off any final hairs, if there are a few left then pluck them, it won't hurt since the area will be kinda numb.
So now i know you're left with your red and blotchy skin and it you feel self conscious. When this happened to me i realised you just have to leave for a while to air and calm down, don't apply any ointment or cream!. The redness will go after a few days and the dots will come off in the shower if you gently rub/ exfoliate them. After this leave your skin before re-applying the cream so it can recover. I hope this helps! And just remember that this won't last forever :)

It will get better in a few days.. but for future.. never use creams.. they are bad for your skin. And face skin is 5 times more sensitive then the rest if our body.. wax your upper lips instead.. it will take only 2 to 3 minutes. And hair comes back after a long time.. plus it exfoliates leaving the skin smooth..

First of all you need a Special creme. Go to a doctor. I had the Same in my intime area and my balls were glowing red. And it was itching but I couldnt scratch Because when I touch it hurts cuz its burned. It was hell. Go to a doctor who gives you a creme so your skin can regenerate. Also never do this again. Its better to just wax it then. But never use this shit again.

Don't worry it will go away but in the mean time apply Aloe Vera gel.
