For the fitness people - what exercises should I do to reduce the size of my butt?

I've been running and doing squats but they actually made it bigger so I'm trying to find other exercises/routines to make it smaller? Slimmer?
I'm not trying to fish or anything - it's just like, the dresses and long tanks I have are becoming obscenely short on me now and it's bad. All my shirts ride up above my hip now too, wtf. Anyways help would be appreciated.
